The Military Is Too Big For Our Country - 1369 Words
If you had to go into the military, why would you do it? For the money and the benefits, or to be a proud American and serve our country? There are many people who go into the military to do bare minimum as long as they receive their benefits, including free college tuition. Then there are types of people who join because they want to do well for America. The military should only consist of people who want to be patriotic to their country rather than use the government for their benefits and money. Better soldiers come from ones that are motivated to serve and protect our country. We need to have a military for the sake of safety and being protected from terrorists, other countries, and for humanitarian reasons. There is a problem with the military not paying much attention to quantity versus quality. The military is too big for the jobs that they have. It needs to consist of better quality soldiers instead of focusing on have the worldââ¬â¢s largest military. A lot goes into recr uitment as well, but maybe not enough. The different motives of soldiers play a role on the outcome of them in the end, and what makes them the best for that position. Different recruitment methods could give the military better quality soldiers. Depending on the peopleââ¬â¢s motives, you can have lazy soldiers, or soldiers that will give it their all.
